From Streets to the World: The Sensational Growth of Women's Football

It all began in 2004 with a simple idea: a women's Sensational Street Football Tournament in Copenhagen, Denmark. Fast forward two decades, and our tournament and other programs has become a global movement empowering women through football.

Our journey started in Denmark, where our tournaments thrived for a decade, culminating in five incredible years at the iconic Roskilde Music Festival. By 2015, over 1,125 teams had participated in our Danish events, showcasing the power of the sport to unite and inspire.

But our vision extended beyond borders. In 2015, the year when 193 United Nations member states signed on to the 17 Global Goals, we took the tournament global and created the Global Goals World Cup in partnership with the UNDP.

Today, we operate in 17 countries, with 25 established tournaments and leagues in Argentina, Jordan, and the US. We've also trained 115 coaches, equipping them to lead the next generation of female footballers.

All our programs are aligned with the Global Goals (also known as the Sustainable Development Goals), working towards a future free from poverty, environmental destruction, and inequality.

Uniting Under One Name: EIR Sport

We're merging all our sports initiatives and programs under the name EIR Sport. This includes our League, School, EIR Scoach and Global Goals World Cup (GGWCUP).

This change reflects our commitment to creating a strong, global community.
