Action, Spirit, and Play: Our Unique Scoring System

Action Points

Points are awarded based on activity type and impact.
The first Action Report is due before the second game day.
You can score from 1 to 5 points.
Football Point
Each 20-minute football match follows a scoring system: 3 points for the winning team, 1 point for the losing team, and 2 points for a tie.
Crowd Point
This category challenges stereotypes about women's sports on social media.
Teams score points based on their Instagram activity related to game days, training, and Global Goals.
To score Crowd Points, your team must have a team Instagram account.
You can score from 1 to 5 points.
Play Spirit Point
Awarded after the games on the Impact Field.
Recognizes your team's energy, attitude, and creativity.
Each team can score from 1 to 5 points.
Team Style
While points aren't awarded for fashion, we encourage you to express yourselves and your Global Goal/Impact Project through your outfits.
We celebrate individuality, creativity, and upcycling in your team's fashion choices.
All teams meet up for games every other week.
Each game day lasts approximately 3 hours, including warm-up and matches.
A Sensational League season typically spans 3-4 months, with 6 game days throughout the season.
Teams in the Sensational League are driven by a greater purpose.
When you sign up, you'll be asked to select one of the 17 Global Goals to play for. You will, as a team, use the season to develop a project around that Goal.
We encourage all teams to follow their passions. Whether it's planting a new forest, building a new bus stop, challenging friends to clean up a neighborhood, closing the pay gap at work, implementing menstrual cycle awareness initiatives, or promoting more sports in schools. The possibilities are endless.
How We Play to Reduce Injuries and Improve Performance
We play 5v5 football on slightly bigger fields. This gives us more space to receive and pass the ball.
We avoid hard tackles and heading the ball to minimize risk of injury.
We add strength and balance training to our warm-up routine.
We talk openly about how our period and menopause can influence our play.
The teams you play may have a different level of football experience than your team. Always play at a level that allows everyone to be the best player they can be. Everyone is welcome in this league and encouraged to participate.
